“My mission is to educate people and bring greater awareness that Vodou is not sorcery, witchcraft, or a religion of the devil, as it is too often misunderstood. Vodou is a living culture, a spiritual system, and a tradition deeply rooted in the history, resilience, and identity of the people who practice it. It is a way of honoring ancestors, maintaining community bonds, respecting nature, and expressing a profound sense of spirituality. Through education, dialogue, and cultural appreciation, my goal is to correct misconceptions, celebrate its true essence, and help others recognize Vodou as an integral part of cultural heritage rather than a source of fear or prejudice.”
